Well today I was not sure how it was going to go... My allergies have taken over my body yet again, and ave taken my voice and my strength away from me. I went to work for an hour and came home. I have not been sleeping well and I needed rest. However when you are sick, what do you normally do, you vege out on the couch with a box of tissues and watch T.V. between your napping stages. Well I can honestly say that I made it! NO T.V. and home ALL DAY! Now mind you that most of the day was pent sleeping thanks to Mucinex, but it is still an accomplishment.
I continued to read in Genesis today chapters 8-11. There is a lot more genealogy, and for me that is hard to follow, but I did learn some things in the midst of all the who married who and who's children were who's... I learned that the sparrow can scavenger and survive off of most anything, but doves are more picky. That is how Noah knew he could come out of the Arc. I also learned that the Earth had taken a major change, and that the life span of everything had drastically changed. God said that all living things were to be for Man to eat, however not to eat the animals blood. (Does that mean that when I eat steak I need to have it well done?) Noah had planed a vineyard and gotten drunk (not on his own will, but fermentation had taken place more rapidly than before and he did not expect this. I learned that in these chapters the World is being set up an segregated. That he places with "ites" after the name, were the cursed people from Noah's curse on Canaan. I also learned where the common used word BABBLE comes from. God had seen that the city of Shinar (on part of it) had been unified and proud. SO proud that they were building a tower and settling because they wanted too. God quickly scattered them throughout the land because they had become to prideful. He made their languages confusing to where they had to go and look for others who spoke their language. Hence the city of Babel...
